Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains our policies regarding refunds for credit purchases, subscription cancellations, and related billing matters on the Rilee platform operated by Kylee Labs Inc.

1. Overview

Rilee operates on a credit-based system where users purchase credits to generate AI content. We offer both one-time credit purchases and subscription plans. This policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations for each type of purchase.

2. Credit Purchase Refunds

2.1 One-Time Credit Purchases

Refund Window: You may request a refund for unused credits within 14 days of purchase.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The credits must be substantially unused (at least 90% of purchased credits remain)
  • Request must be made within 14 days of the original purchase date
  • No previous refund requests have been made in the past 90 days
  • The account is in good standing with no terms of service violations

2.2 Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:

  • More than 10% of purchased credits have been used
  • More than 14 days have passed since purchase
  • Credits were purchased as part of a promotional or discounted bundle
  • Account has been suspended or terminated for policy violations
  • Credits were used to generate content that violated our Content Policy
  • User dissatisfaction with generated output quality (generation results vary by input)

2.3 Technical Issues and Service Failures

If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using purchased credits:

  • Credits will be automatically restored to your account if a generation fails due to our system errors
  • Extended service outages may qualify for credit extensions or refunds on a case-by-case basis
  • You must report technical issues within 7 days of occurrence

3. Subscription Plans

3.1 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

  • Effective Date: Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • Access: You retain access to subscription benefits until the end of the paid period
  • Credits: Unused monthly credits do not roll over and will expire at the end of the billing period
  • No Partial Refunds: We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods

3.2 New Subscription Refunds

7-Day Trial Period: First-time subscribers may cancel within 7 days of initial subscription for a full refund if:

  • This is your first subscription to Rilee
  • You have used less than 10% of your monthly credit allocation
  • You cancel within 7 days of the initial subscription date
  • You have not previously received a subscription refund

3.3 Subscription Billing

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
  • Cancel Before Renewal: To avoid charges, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date
  • Billing Failures: If payment fails, we will attempt to process it multiple times. After repeated failures, your subscription may be cancelled
  • Price Changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any subscription price changes

3.4 Subscription Downgrades

If you downgrade your subscription plan:

  • The change takes effect at the start of your next billing period
  • No refunds are issued for the difference in plan prices
  • Unused credits from the higher tier do not carry over

4. Refund Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email support@rilee.ai with "Refund Request" in the subject line
  2. Include your account email, transaction ID, and reason for the refund request
  3. Provide any relevant details or documentation supporting your request

4.2 Refund Timeline

  • Review: Refund requests are typically reviewed within 3-5 business days
  • Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Receipt: Refunds appear in your original payment method within 5-10 business days after processing
  • Cryptocurrency: Crypto refunds may take 1-3 business days and are subject to network fees

4.3 Refund Method

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase
  • Credit card refunds appear as a credit on your statement
  • Cryptocurrency refunds are sent to the original wallet address
  • We cannot issue refunds to different payment methods or accounts

5. Chargebacks and Disputes

5.1 Before Filing a Chargeback

Contact Us First: Please contact our support team before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly.

5.2 Chargeback Consequences

If you file a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us:

  • Your account may be immediately suspended pending investigation
  • All credits and subscription benefits will be revoked
  • We may contest the chargeback with evidence of service delivery
  • Repeated chargebacks may result in permanent account termination
  • You may be responsible for chargeback fees and associated costs

5.3 Fraudulent Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback for services that were delivered constitutes fraud. We reserve the right to:

  • Provide transaction evidence to your bank or payment processor
  • Permanently ban your account and associated payment methods
  • Pursue legal action for fraudulent chargebacks
  • Report fraudulent activity to relevant authorities

6. Special Circumstances

6.1 Account Termination

If your account is terminated due to Terms of Service violations:

  • No refunds will be issued for unused credits or remaining subscription time
  • All credits and benefits are immediately forfeited
  • Access to content and generations may be restricted

6.2 Service Discontinuation

If Rilee discontinues service:

  • We will provide at least 60 days advance notice
  • Prorated refunds will be issued for unused subscription time
  • Remaining credits will be refunded at the rate paid
  • Users will have the opportunity to export their content

6.3 Promotional Credits and Free Trials

  • Promotional credits and bonuses are non-refundable
  • Free trial periods do not qualify for refunds
  • Promotional benefits may be revoked if obtained through fraudulent means

7. Content and Generation Quality

7.1 No Quality Guarantees

AI-generated content quality varies based on many factors including prompts, settings, and AI model behavior:

  • We do not guarantee specific quality or results for any generation
  • Credits are consumed upon generation attempt, regardless of output quality
  • Subjective dissatisfaction with results does not qualify for refunds
  • Users are responsible for reviewing outputs and adjusting prompts as needed

7.2 Failed Generations

If a generation fails due to technical errors on our end:

  • Credits are automatically refunded to your account
  • No manual refund request is needed for technical failures
  • Contact support if credits are not automatically restored

8. Payment Processor Policies

Refunds are subject to the policies and processing times of our payment processors (Epoch, NOWPayments, and others). Some payment methods may have additional restrictions:

  • Cryptocurrency: Refunds are subject to network fees and market value at time of refund
  • Prepaid Cards: May not support refunds; contact your card issuer
  • Wire Transfers: May incur additional processing fees for refunds
